SYNOPSIS: Margot wakes up on her birthday to find that things in her rural home are terrifyingly wrong. For three days she will be manipulated, terrorized, physically and emotionally weakened by her "changed" family just on the other side of her bedroom door.
This short was produced in 2007 and completed in 2008. This is the first effort from not my mess films.

JOHNELLE STEELE -- ("Margot") -- IMDB
What an incredible experience it was for Johnelle to be on set with the Not My Mess Films crew. Johnelle was able to reach a wide array of emotions thanks to the direction of Michael Klug. She's already garnering nice feedback for her debut as "Margot" in the short film French Toast. The aspiring model is always game for the next challenge.

BRITTANY STEELE -- ("Brit") -- IMDB
Brittany literally sunk her teeth into her role as zombie sister "Brit" (as evidenced by the promo post card) for her acting debut in French Toast. As an aspiring poet and model, she was able to pull the different emotions she needed for her "turn" as the older sister.

SERENA VITELLARO - WILTFONG -- ("Mom") -- IMDB
Serena was excited to work with a director as passionate as Michael Klug. She was able to take her love for all things horror and pour it into her role as the zombified mother. After having done some big budget extra work in the past, she thoroughly enjoyed her more active involvement on French Toast.

LESTER WILTFONG -- ("Dad" / production asst. / craft services) -- IMDB
After finding some success in the music industry by having his works heard in the FOX sitcoms Wanda At Large and Titus, and also in numerous TV shows in foreign markets, Lester was thrilled to transition from the music genre to another form of entertainment. Working on French Toast; in voiceover and on-screen, as well as some technical stuff behind the scenes, proved to be a valuable experience. Lester continues to feed his creativity by writing for a couple of websites.

Although the on screen time for Johnny was limited to a bloody leg, some voiceover, and portraying a crawling zombie, it was his behind the scenes work as the day 2 "slate girl" that endeared him to Michael and the Not My Mess Films team.
